Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!!!!!

Everytime we go to Pittsburgh to visit Frank's friends and family, I make him do touristy things. He always agrees. This year we went to the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. We had so much fun, it was a nice cool day, and there was hardly anyone there. This made for a great trip, no fighting to see the animals.

Since there wasn't anyone around, we were yet again forced to take a picture of ourselves. I think we are getting better.

This lion laid around for so long, we were about to just move on, then finally he decided to get up and let us see how big he was!!!!

The lion's girlfriend, she sat there the whole time just checking stuff out.

It was feeding time while we were there, so the elephants were just waiting around.

The Giraffes stayed away until we were about to leave, then one came over trying to figure out how to reach some leaves in a tree. One would think this wouldn't be hard for a giraffe, but he had apparently already eaten the ones he could reach.

I wonder what the orangutans were meeting about.

Gorilla, deep in thought, contemplating life.

Penguin doing everything he can to stay under the waterfall.

Just thought this was a pretty sea thing!

The Polar Bears played in and out of the water for us.

I think this sea lion was posing just for us!

This was the longest and most steep escalator I have ever seen. In Pittsburgh there are hills everywhere. This was the escalator to take you to and from the parking lot to the Zoo. It made me dizzy to look up or down.

Braves game in Pittsburgh!

Luckily this year when we headed to Pittsburgh, the Braves were headed there too. We were able to see all three games. Too bad the Braves lost the first two games to one of the worst teams. Who knows what got into the Pirates. We had a great time. We sat behind home plate at all three games.

The ballpark.

The City. One of the most beautiful cities at night.

The Braves in their dugout.

Bobby Cox getting his farwell at PNC Park. He was given a $5000 check to support Homeless Pets, his charity of choice. He was given this same gift in Minnesota in June while we were there.

2010 Reunion

Every Labor Day we head to Pittsburgh to visit with Frank's family for the annual reunion. The same people come every year and there are alot of them.

This is the immediate family.

This is all that were left at picture time. A ton of people!!!
